Nex.Checks
Nex.Checks ist ein Mini-Projekt innerhalb des Projekts Nex.KI von La Red. Nex.KI stärkt migrantische Organisationen im Umgang mit Künstlicher Intelligenz, vermittelt praxisnahes Wissen und setzt sich für einen diskriminierungssensiblen, verantwortungsvollen Einsatz von KI ein.
Nex.Checks bringt eine kleine Gruppe von zehn Menschen aus verschiedenen (selbst-)organisierten migrantischen Organisationen und Strukturen zusammen. In „Nex.Check“ testen diese Ehrenamtlichen ausgewählte KI-Tools eigenständig – mit einer kurzen schriftlichen Anleitung – und diskutieren ihre Erfahrungen anschließend in digitalen Sessions. 2026 stehen unter anderem KI-Assistenten, Videogenerierung sowie Text-to-Speech- und Voice-to-Text-Anwendungen im Fokus.
Die Arbeit ist partizipativ angelegt: Perspektiven aus migrantischen Selbstorganisationen stehen im Zentrum. Gemeinsam reflektieren wir Chancen, Risiken und konkrete Auswirkungen auf die Arbeit und das Engagement im breiten Spektrum der „Migrationsarbeit“. Ziel ist es, alltagstaugliche Anwendungstipps zu sammeln und zugleich Hinweise und Forderungen an Tech-Akteur*innen, Verwaltung, Politik und Stiftungen zu formulieren. So werden migrantische Perspektiven in aktuellen KI-Debatten sichtbarer gemacht.
Nex.Checks
Nex.Checks is a mini-project within La Red’s Nex.KI project. Nex.KI empowers migrant organizations in their use of artificial intelligence, imparts practical knowledge, and promotes the responsible use of AI in a way that is sensitive to discrimination.
Nex.Checks brings together a small group of ten people from various (self-)organized migrant organizations and structures. In “Nex.Check,” these volunteers test selected AI tools independently—with brief written instructions—and then discuss their experiences in digital sessions. In 2026, the focus will be on AI assistants, video generation, and text-to-speech and voice-to-text applications, among other things.
The work is participatory in nature: the focus is on perspectives from migrant self-organizations. Together, we reflect on opportunities, risks, and concrete effects on work and engagement in the broad spectrum of “migration work.” The goal is to collect tips for everyday use and, at the same time, to formulate recommendations and demands for tech players, administrators, politicians, and foundations. In this way, migrant perspectives are made more visible in current AI debates.
