LaRA Plus – Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Qualifications

Attention! The last open consultation this year will take place on 06.12.2023.
We will publish the dates for 2024 at the beginning of the year.

With the project La Red Anerkennungsberatung Plus (LaRA Plus), La Red offers free counselling on the recognition of qualifications acquired abroad. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus) as part of the „Integration through Qualification (IQ)“ program.

You did not acquire your professional qualification in Germany and would like to work in your profession in Berlin? Then you can or must have your foreign professional qualification recognised through an equivalence test.

Recognition improves your chances of finding a job that matches your qualifications.

Our counsellors will tell you which recognition process and which reference occupation correspond to your qualifications. You will receive information on the procedure and the necessary documents. The counselling will also include information on funding options for recognition.

Our consultation is free of charge and is available in the following languages: Arabic, English, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish.

Who can we advise?

  • ✔️People who are already living in Germany and would like to work in Berlin.
  • ✔️People who have a university degree (e.g. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) or a professional qualification (comparable to an Ausbildung) of at least two years‘ duration.
